I’m currently a freshman looking for internships this summer. I’m currently business undecided as my major, meaning I study all aspects of business before specializing and declaring next year. I want to be a small business owner. What kind of internships should I look for? Would an internship not necessarily in my field of study, say an internship with marketing or something, be detrimental to my college experience and future job searches?
Well, I think an internship in a different field would work fine on your end since business covers a lot. But it would still be best to get an internship in your field is more helpful.
To keep you on track it would probably be wiser if you look for internships in small businesses so you’d get a glimpse of the life or the career you ought to take
