<p>I'm with you on that! I worked in one all summer last year and it was MISERABLE!!! I'm sooooooo glad I'm not working there this year!</p>

<p>I would never work at our theatre. It seems really boring. And I've never known a soul to enjoy it :p</p>
<p>yeah..the good thing about working in retail, is that you get a store discount. With food, you can usually make good tips. But at a movie theatre.....nothing but minimum wage!</p>

<p>actually i kinda wanted to, i like the smell of buttery popcorn. but i can't eat it or I get sick from all the coconut oil and butter. But being able to smell it all day...:)</p>
<p>at my theatre we dont use real butter, our "butter" is partially hydrogenated soy bean oil, with an anti-foaming agent added. With some sort of flavoring added to it.</p>
<p>I actually make about a buck and a half more than minimum wage, but the job is awful and the hours suck.</p>

<p>I worked at a Carmike for about a month. I worked conssesions with a bunch of stoners. The hours sucked, the free movies rocked, but I only got to use it once because i was so sick of being there after my shifts.<br>
I now refuse to eat movie theatre popcorn!</p>

<p>Yes that's the reason I will never work at one. The only perk is free movies. At one of the theatres by my house if you get fired or quit, they don't let you watch movies there anymore.</p>
