Does it matter if the publisher of the book is different? My son is trying to find chemistry book. Bookstore doesn't have used anymore. I used getchabooks.com but all the copies seem to have different publishers. Everything else seems the sane: isn #, authors, and the way the book looks. This is our first time dealing with books so I'm afraid to buy a wrong book. Also international copies seem to be a lot less. Does anyone know anything about that?

Here is an article on international versions. I have no direct experience with them.

One issue with ordering online is the shipping delay, so it is best to order early, so you do not risk falling behind. This is more important for some courses than others.

Sometimes Harvard and MIT bookstores carry the same books.

If this is Chem 1, an international edition, used version, or an old edition will all be fine. Your son will need to buy a “MasteringChemistry” access code online though.

It’s chem 11. Does every class require an access code?
