yeah what sucks about bu barnes and noble is they don’t publish the isbn on the website. some professors are nice and will send em to you if you email and ask. or you can wait til school starts and go write them all down at the bookstore

Really? I am pretty sure I got the ISBN numbers from B+N

oh i can never find them. must be dumb

TheMan777- you got the ISBNs from b&n? how? there were no isbns on the auto generated text book list…

yeah i didn’t see isbns on the list… ?

lol - i am an idiot. I found the ISBNs on the syllabus that the teacher was using XD, I got them all weeks ago so the memory isn’t very fresh. I am sorry for the time wasted in searching for the ISBNs on the B+N site - =(((

detailed instructions and suggestions on how to save money on textbooks (including BU-specific instructions):

Is it true that labs don’t take place the first week of classes? I mean for chem101 and bio107…

Because when I tried to order my lab manual for chem101 on the B&N website it says that they don’t have it and i may need to wait.

yeah, no labs first week. usually no discussions either. but every class is different

Anyone else notice how easy this year starts out? 3 day week, 3 day weekend, 4 day week

That sounds great. Does anyone know, for the writing classes, do I need to buy all the books immediately or can I buy the books as I go ?

Most likely you’ll be reading them one at a time, but either way, you can wait until the first class and see.

Also, you might want to find out how much of each book you’ll be reading. I had to buy a book, only to find out we were reading about 20 pages of it, and it was available online.

I know that it might seem that there’s no point in asking this, but we internationals are not too familiar with US college level writing. Typically how many essays and of what size are we required to write in WR100?

I think I wrote 5 2-3 or 3-5 pagers in WR100. pretty easy

that sounds good… its not 3-5 pages with both sides (= 6-10 pages) is it?

nope. just the one
