Buying Tickets to Games

How does it work? Do you have to buy them all individually, do they sell season tickets for students? Do I have to camp out every weekend? Does being an incoming freshmen hinder my chances of getting the tickets (like a lottery system that favors upperclassmen) Hows it work, from anyone that has done it.

You buy a season ticket. They go on sale in June/July. You’ll need to watch for the announcement, and then make sure you’re online at the designated day/time so you can buy yours before they sell out. I believe last year it was around $275 for the season ticket. There are a certain number of tickets set aside for each class, and each class buys their tickets on a different day, so you won’t be competing against seniors, juniors, etc.

You don’t get an actual (paper) ticket. The tickets are credited to your student ID, so you will swipe your ID at the entrance gate to get into the game.

You aren’t assigned a specific seat, so the earlier you get there, the better your seat will be. Also, it can take a very long time to get through the lines at the gate, so it is definitely a good idea to get to the stadium as early as possible.

related to this subject, since the tickets are on a student id, is there any possible way to bring someone like a visiting friend to a game? would they be able to sit in the student section?

Yes, you can bring a friend to the game, but there’s a whole process you need to go through in advance - plus it will cost you around $30 extra (in addition to the cost of the ticket itself).
