I guess the gov't will be giving them their own council flat now...

Wikepedia on Watson's tests:

[quote]
In June 2006, Watson took GCSE examinations in 10 subjects, achieving eight A* and two A grades; she was a target of friendly ridicule on the Harry Potter set because of her straight-A exam results. She received A grades in her 2008 A level examinations in English Literature, Geography and Art, and in her 2007 AS (advanced subsidiary) level in History of Art.

For those of you who know Harry Potter, GSCE is analogous to OWL, A level to NEWT. AS is somewhere in between.

Can you imagine logging on to collegeconfidential to see everyone talking about you using your real name?

It must be SO weird to be a celebrity.

Obviously the price of being a celebrity is less privacy. My point was that it's this kind of obsessive behavior that would lead her to not choose a school in America. That's not to say it wouldn't be like that in England, but apparently, she would have a more normal experience in England...

If I was a celebrity, I would go out in elaborate disguises of other celebrities.

^ Who would she dress as?

Her loss.

...that she'll never meet me.

William Dembski.

I'm dressing up as him this halloween.

I have no idea whom she would dress up as.

Actually....If I became a celebrity...I would dress up in convincing costume all the time.

"Holy crap, that was ____!"

"Seriously? I was SO SURE that was a policeman/fireman/gas station attendant, etc"

For the last time, SHE IS GOING TO CAMBRIDGE.

Straight from the mouth of someone who talked to the horse's mouth.

I'm serious.

Who cares! Let her go there, she deserves to anyways. If she is looking around for her choices, then Yale is not a choice, it is a must. You hear me, MUST!!!
She could go to some riggidy school or a better school, enough of her already.

...In the other news, the end of March means the absolute reject and absolute acceptance list is out! They are talking about deferees.

the truth. yale definitely has the better theater department -- though harvard should receive due credit for some legends: t. lee jones, n. portman, c.o.b., and the non-graduate matt damon. but i would assume she would go to yale over harvard, even though harvard's freshmen dining hall looks a lot more like the hogwart's one than yale commons. but she's cool, and yale has more cooler peeps, so yale would be a must.

on another note, anybody speculate how the next potter film will be like?

^ Like the others/the books.

Formulaic, boring, over the top, but an excuse to go out with friends and get buttered popcorn/soda.

^ Agreed. I've read all 7 books at least 5 times apiece, and the movies suck. But they're better than nothing. I'm exceedingly pleased that they're releasing the 7th film in 2 parts, though, because the extended length will give them a bit more time to fit in more details.

High grossing, box office smasher?

^ Yup... the only sure thing in a recession filled economy.
