Derivate - I meant that we did some small presentations (talks, sample sci bowl Q’s, etc.) in AP classes to promote people to join the club. The majority of the kids right now in it are seniors, but we’d like to have underclassmen join.

OH YEA, last year before nationals we even had Teacher vs Student scrimmages. We got killed of course, but it was hilarious :).

K there are TONS of other pdf files of past Sci bowl q’s. Just Google non stop. I have a huge collection of them. If you gimme your email I can attach a compressed file of them for you :).

Textbook wise… we just used w/e the AP level books were.

Bio was the Campbell/ Reece 7th edition. Earth sci was the Tarbuck/Lutgens Earth Science book. etc etc. Amazon the subject and you’ll get good textbooks.

I am not a math person at all, so I first want to say that I would give anything to have your math abilities So based on your stats your definitely in the running for both schools. MIT is slightly more competitive and being in state for Cal tech I think helps a little. Your stats are great. It’s gonna come down to if you can answer the question, “How an I different then all the other smart math/science people applying?” in your essay.
GOOD LUCK!!

Your stats blow mine out of the water. You have the excellent academic stats. But more importantly, you have the stellar ECs to push you through. You have a great chance for getting in.
