CA "Additional Recommender" - Please Advise!

<p>I am applying to a few schools which accept an additional letter of recommendation aside from the teacher ones. I've been reading the support for CommonApp but haven't been able to figure out how this process works:</p>

<p>I am asking my boss who I worked under during the summer to submit a letter on my behalf, BUT (here's the trouble spot) - I want to use this letter for MORE THAN ONE school. Do I need to invite him to submit this for every single school I'm applying for or can he just upload his letter once and I can add it to different schools?</p>

<p>He's very busy and I want to make this as simple as possible for him.</p>

<p>The process is the same as for teachers. You invite him once, he gets an email explaining the process, he creates a common app account and uploads his rec once to the common app. That’s all he needs to do.</p>

<p>After you invite him, his name will appear as an option in the drop down list for each of your schools which accepts an “other” recommender. You can assign him to as many or as few schools as you like. If a school accepts additional “teacher” recs but not “other” recs, his name will not appear to you as a possible recommender and you will not be able to assign him to that school.</p>
