Cable tv in the dorms

<p>Hey there, so after much inner debate I think I’ll be heading to Davis rather than SD this fall.
This may seem like a stupid question and I apologize in advance, but I couldnt find the answer anywhere here or online.
From what I’ve read, the resnet cable provides for internet and cable tv and it even gives all the channels that it has. However, I am a die-hard hockey (Sharks) fan and nowhere do I see Fox Sports Net or even OLN on there. Is there any way I would be able to order those channels or do I have to get my fix another way. Are there any sports hangouts that often show hockey games? I know that I’m supposed to be studying or something lame like that :wink: but I’m sure there are plenty of hockey fans in Davis with the same situation who can help, or I hope there are anyways. </p>

<p>By the way, does FSN in the Sacramento/Davis region even pick up FSN Bay Area for Sharks games? or is a dish required? </p>

<p>I can't echo your sentiments any more strongly Tron. I'm gonna be attending Davis next year as well, and I pray to all that's holy that we get FSN Bay Area (keep it up sharks, two more wins for now). If the dorms don't get it, I'm sure there's some sports bar in town that'll show it.</p>

i guess you could call it a college hang out
they have a lot of TVs so im pretty sure you'd be set</p>

<p>I swear if they dont have Bay Area FSN im not going to college. Im just staying home and watching my Athletics WIN the World Series. Stay home and watch Alex Smith get killed or Randy Moss take the Raiders to the Promise Land!!! GO SHARKS </p>

<p>SIDE NOTE:Im wondering if people go to the sporting events like they do in schools like CAL, USC and UCLA. DO people even go to the football or baseball games????</p>

<p>!!! Davis is in division 1! Since UCD is a true college town, of course people would attend! UCD's football team is a big thing! Aggies man!</p>

<p>the cable lineup on campus is different from off campus. It's been a long time since I was in the dorms, but I used to go to tvguide.com or my yahoo to check tv listings.. and when you select your service provider it used to have the UCD campus listed as one of them. That way you can see what channels are provided at least.</p>
