i was wondering about the food at Lincoln Center?
good, bad, indifferent?

not very good!

LC's (and Fordham's in general) cafeteria is known for being the subject of many student complaints.
My experience while visiting? It is not the best, and after going to Fordham LC for a while it is going to get tedious and unenjoyable. But for most colleges this is true.
But you do happen to be in Lincoln Center, New York City, New York. So you will have the opportunity to spend your money on amazing food, whereas most other colleges do not have this. You just have to budget, prioritize, and find good deals!

actually Sarit, I have to disagree with you. At RH the food at the Marketplace is actually quite good. I eat there almost everyday, that's how good it is, plus at RH you have a lot more meal options on and off campus I think.

I guess everyone has their own opinion of the Fordham food, but in my honest opinion, it is horrible. I find it to be almost a disgrace considering how much tuition and room/board costs. It's ok if you stop by once in awhile as a commuter or something but if you live at Fordham and you depend on it, it's not the best. The caf. food , in my opinion, get's old.. FAST.

thats disappointing.
does anyone know how the meal plans work?
oh ps: i'm going to LC, so if anyone there has info, that'd be preferred

youre required to put 800 dollars ea semester for freshman year (1600 total). from what i heard, the money rolls over if you dont use it.

AMILkita: fair enough. i haven't even gone to college yet, so i can't speak from personal experience, nor have i eaten at the RH caf even once. that's just the general feedback ive gotten from the college students ive talked to in LC and in colleges that i visited all over the country (some with better food than others). i'm glad to hear that SOMEONE is pleased with their college food - and i hope to be like you!

I'm a junior and have been eating in the cafe my entire tenure here. I have to say that I do enjoy it. I mean I have had better, but I have also certainly had worse. I have been able to make friends with the cooks and they have been able to tell what I like and I know how they cook. The situation can be as good as you decide to make it

its on the list of worst food on princetonreview.com. i was hoping that was a myth. =(

well, i have been at LC for a while now, and I can now speak from experience: the food here is not bad. on some days some of the food is bland, and no one denies that there could be more variety, but i know some people that eat dinner almost exclusively at the cafeteria, and really like it.
don't be scared of fordham just because of the reputation of its cafeteria, it is truly not so bad, and if you dont want to eat it, dont forget: you're in new york city. all different kinds of yummy (and affordable, believe it or not) food is at your fingertips. better than any isolated college campus, no matter how great their caf is!

I definitely agree.. while I did write up above that the food is really bad (and in my opinion, it is) there are definitely thousands upon thousands of options outside of the campus... it is nyc after all. The only prob. is budgeting how much to spend haha.
