I know this doesn't help the anxiety we're all facing but I called admissions today and they told me all the decisions have been made, however, they're still waiting until May 1st to release them. But I guess this signals the home stretch.

that is so cruel! Why do they make us wait? I HATE IT!

Some of us could REALLY use the decisions early! Is there any special way to find out?

I understand waiting in general though; perhaps they need to deal with more of the incoming freshmen issues.

It doesn't work for me, but someone might try first logging onto MyBerkeleyApp and then going here:

and clicking on "Conditions of Admission."

are you guys kidding? shut up. just be happy they're even considering you to transfer to their university and learn to be patient. theres probably a reason, stop pointing fingers and blaming sadism, and calling them names.

haha! to the person who said "im not gonna those sobs play w/ my head"

yes you are, you know you are. you're willing to wait as long as they want, so dont get all rebellious towards the admissions committee lol you guys need to seriously chill out and wait. i know its a HUGE deal, but just be patient and stop wasting threads talking about the anxious wait and countdown..
good luck to all of you though = )

mrmuirc, what do you mean "It doesn't work for me"? like what does it say? mine says: "Invalid request: sir-conditions"... etc

I think someone should just call up berkeley and demand they post the decisions!

Omg I'm soo happy they're even considering me; filling out the application was sooo hard!!! I totally deserve it!! And we're completely serious when we call them names and point fingers!

Why don't you wait until YOU have an application out there?

the1, that's what mine says, too. I was thinking it might have a backdoor, but it probably isn't. "TDL mismatch" stands for "to do list," so your MyBerkeleyApp page would probably have to already display your conditions of admission for that link to even work. I just wanted someone else to try it.

yeah..I agree..ilovecalifornia sure wouldn't be so carefree right now if her big, could-be acceptance day was around the corner

well it's better than say UCSD and "we will release between mid-April and end of May" I mean what the hell is that? atleast cal tells us May 1st...fine, I can live with that...it's better than checking every freakin day for decision...

tallkell,

its still not right to make the admissions committee the scapegoat of your own personal stress issues. i'm saying you people should be grateful for your second shot at these top schools (la, berk) and learn to be patient and stop waiting your time posting and creating threads about how this entire situation is so stressful. just deal with it, dont hype it up. your only making it harder for yourselves. lol go excerise or get some ice cream to take your mind of these stressful times = )

ilovecalifornia, we're not insulting your mom or anything. Let it rest.

ilovecalifornia,

How exactly am I making the admissions committee the scapegoat of my own personal stress issues? Yes, of course I'm excited and anxious that I'm about to find out whether I not I got into Berkeley/UCLA..maybe you'll understand when your time comes...oh wait..that won't be for another 2 years!

"You people should be grateful for your second shot at these schools"...How about those of us who never had a first shot? Maybe you should think twice before you start jumping to assumptions.

Grow up...it's obvious you're still in high school.

Oooo..look at you..you probably just offended everyone in this "transfer" forum. Anyway..yeah, I do go to community college. Good job making me feel bad about it...funny thing is, in 2 years I will graduate from a top notch university so it won't really matter. But I'm sure putting me down for being a community college transfer student does make you feel superior to me. Well..guess what, this is where you will be starting this fall. Aren't you excited! :)

No, I don't live at home..and no, I'm not 20 years old. I have had many hardships in my life, but if you just want to assume I am some upperclassman who used to pick on you..go ahead. I could care less.

"yea i am in high school"

Didn't you say in previous posts you graduated from HS with a weighted 3.1 GPA and are now attending a CCC?

I'm not trying to hurt your feelings but you seem a bit pretentious and narcissistic. Your really not helping anyone and it seems you came here just to start an arguemnt.

Lets not let this thread degenerate into pointless bickering.

haha what the hell? i never said i have a 3.1 gpa or that im in community college.

how am i starting an argument?

my message:

be patient

don't point fingers

good luck

look back, and you'll see thats all i've been meaning to say. plus i defended myself when tallkell tried to talk down to me as if shes so mature

Did you forget to include this?

"shut up. just be happy they're even considering you to transfer to their university and learn to be patient. theres probably a reason, stop pointing fingers and blaming sadism, and calling them names."

and

"its still not right to make the admissions committee the scapegoat of your own personal stress issues. i'm saying you people should be grateful for your second shot at these top schools"

"how am i starting an argument?"

Your second sentence started (and ended) with "Shut up."

"plus i defended myself when tallkell tried to talk down to me as if shes so mature"

I see that, but take the higher ground. What's there to loose?

tallkell. what are you talknig about? why on earth would i put down community college students if thats what i'll be next year?

my point was, dont feel special, mature, or superior to me, because your just a college student and nobody special. i didn't try to make you feel bad about it.

and please, dont start with the whole 'i've had many hardships' as if the rest of us hasn't. how does that add to your statement lol. your funny
