"I've had many hardships" is in response to your "you people should be grateful for your second shot at these top schools". I never had a first shot! So yeah, I guess that is funny.

to get them to release the decisions sooner.

i can be the gandhi of cc.

ilovecalifornia,
Learn to use "your" and "you're" correctly. takes pleasure in making you roll your eyes

ok...i understand you had hardships, but nonetheless, the UCs are still giving you a second chance. everyone has an excuse for not getting into CAL as a freshman. (financial reasons, grades, special emergencies, etc)...

for everyone whos transferring as a junior, its a second chance.

Hey,

Im just in high school myself and I was extremely dissapointed that I didnt get into my dream school (UCLA) on the first try. Yea I got into a few other UC's but I know deep down the school for me is UCLA. With that said Im two years away from where these guys are and I have nothing but tremendous respect for them. They were all able to keep their emotions in check and stay focused over the last two years to accomplish their goals. I know that in 2 years when I am the one checking these sites everyday to find out whether or not I gained admission to CAL and LA I am going to be a nervous wreck no matter how good my stats may be, such is human nature. So california, I understand you didnt come in here trying to start a fight, but you have got to understand where these guys are coming from and put yourself in their shoes. These upcoming days and weeks they are waiting for a potentially life changing decision, and I certainly sympathize with them, I mean it sucks that they already have the decisions made but arent releasing them for another 2 weeks.

ilovecalifornia,

I understand you are young..and that is not your fault. I do mean that in all respect. Just every post you make is based on assumptions. I am not from California...I never graduated high school. I never even dreamed of going to college until 2 years ago. I am very grateful for my opportunity to possibly go to UCLA or Berkeley and I've worked so hard to make this dream come true. I just wish you would open your mind a little more and understand we are all anxious because we have worked hard. Yes, for me, this is the biggest thing I will have accomplished but I don't think that's a bad thing. Hopefully one day I will have bigger accomplishments under my belt, but until then..and until ucla and cal posts their admission decisions..I will be waiting anxiously and posting on CC.

alright, i'm understanding the otherside to the argument but i still dont see the point in all the stressed out threads. obviously this argument is never going to get anywhere. good luck to everybody. tallkell, whats ur major? english or what

Ilovecalfornia,

wow..where to start you are wrong in so many places.

"live at home and attend a community college, and have no serious accomplishments under my belt."

I haven't lived at home since 16 and I already have several years exp in finance.

"the UCs are still giving you a second chance."

Nope, I was smart and decided to figure out my path in life before paying thousands of dollars to go in one direction or another. Transfering is simply a different way of going to a University. Most of us didn't apply straight out of highschool.

Look you really just keep putting your foot in your mouth every time you respond on this thread. So maybe you should just stop. :)

hey..thanks for at least understanding the other side....it's appreciated.

My major is communications

lol your confused sweetny, nobody was talking to you = )

you didn't have to defend yourself, i didn't even notice you on this thread until now. lol thanks for attacking me though

O California I wasn't attacking you. (You are too sensitive)..

When you make such general statements prepare to be corrected. If you can't handle that ...college may be tough for you. :)

Good luck silly!

How does your foot taste? LOL

how does my foot taste?

your still lost

it wasn't a general statement, it was directed at somebody (and obviously it wasn't you, don't you feel stupid?)

maybe you should master your reading comprehension skills before you shoot for berkeley. i was talking to 1 specific person, and that argument is finished so stop wasting my time.

It was a general statement about cc students even though you were talking to one person. 1.Relax 2.remove head from ass 3.take foot out of mouth. LOL

You are young so I will forgive how ridiculous you are. ;)

Again you are much too sensitive you should grow some thicker skin. Seriously for your own good. :)

Good night and Good luck! hehe..

I hate how CC is starting to get people who try to "insult" others on this forum by using "cleverly" crafted words and then deny it when people accuse them of it.

Unfortunately Iamapprhensive, there will always be people who are difficult on these boards. I have grown tired of the gross generalizations people make and then go "why is everybody mad at me".

PS> when you ignore someone you don't talk to them...

sweetny why are you so impressive :-( ahhh how do i compete LOL you make me work harder

hmm....well..to go back a few pages...I made a password..and it said..
