Cal grant for Community college student 2nd year

I am a community college student with really good grades (at least compared to my hs grades; currently around 3.7-3.8). I qualified for cal grant B.
Currently in my second year, I already received my second year of cal grant. The amount compared to the first year did not change. I read, however, that after the first year cal grant B will change to the same amount as cal grant A.

Is this true for community college students? If so, is there an issue with my renewal?

I emailed a few financial aid people from my school and from cal grant. Awaiting reply but wanted to see if anyone here knows any information about this.

Bumppity bump bump.

Might I add, even if you don’t have a direct answer to my question, any comment or sharing experience of cal grant would be appreciated as it may help me understand how they make amount of grant decisions.

I didnt know you could get cal grant at a community college.

wait nvm, I just read you can. just that it takes up eligible years.
