when did u get notified that ur cal grants were canceled? and when did ucsd back u up with ucsd grants?

I was given a substantial UCSD grant and assumed with the status of my Cal Grant App that it was canceled (around the time of the OP).

I just checked CSAC and I did get the Cal Grant approved =P. With that in mind, should i defer it for a year, save it, and just use UCSD’s grant? I heard University grants are not stable (depending on funding at the time) and I may spend three years at UCSD (i’m a transfer).

Thanks for the post guys, I gave up checking on Cal Grants already.

If you have Cal grant A ($ 7788 or so)-- then UCSD Grant will adjust downward. If you have Cal grant B ($ 1550 or so), then the UC grant is higher to meet need.

on the current student site under financial aid section (Tritonlink) , my Cal Grant A new hasnt been confirmed yet x

If you’re a transfer student dtang, it won’t update for you until you change the school you attend on the California Student Aid Commission website. If you came from a CC, UCSD doesn’t even know that you have a Cal Grant.
