I am receiving cal grants right now at a CC, but I'm transferring to a CSU during the fall. I tried changing my schools for the fall term but it's not available yet on the cal grants website. And they don't need my GPA since I'm under renewal. But the thing is, my HS GPA didn't qualify for the other cal grants and my current college GPA does. Is there a way for me to send a verified GPA of my college grades so that I can qualify for the rest of my cal grants or am I "screwed for life"? Thanks!

bumpity bump~

They’ll take your college GPA. Just give them a call about how to submit it.

College, and then transfer to a qualifying
baccalaureate degree-granting institution may
be eligible for a California Community College
Transfer Entitlement Cal Grant A. Eligible
students must have at least a 2.4 community
college GPA (of at least 24 semester units, or
the equivalent, of degree credit), meet the
financial and eligibility requirements, be under
age 24 at the time of transfer, and apply by

Thanks, @Lilliana330! I saw that part but I was confused by it because I thought it only applied to high school students with qualifying GPA who goes into CC’s and have the grants reserved for them. I’ll call in Monday/Tuesday and try to figure things out.

Yeah, if you’re already receiving them in CC, then you’ve already qualified.
No problem. Hope all works out. :)

I qualified for Cal Grant B, my GPA was under for Cal Grant A. Should I bother with trying to submit a new GPA so I can qualify for A too or I could stay as B?
