u should be!

xygirlx...did you say that you can still see yours?..post #379 confused me...Thanks

what were the other places people were checking with their i.d. number. Telle bears, or something like that...?

yeah. i can see

bosco...yeah, but I think you had to have a separate passphrase for that and I haven't even tried

where is the page where we can create a passphrase?

we can probably use the Cal Net ID and birthday to create one...

Yes I can see it, no you can't do that Tupac, they email you a token if you're admitted, which you are not as of yet.

My ID is a 19xxxxxxxx.
Couldn't see the app before, can see it now.

i dont think the first two parts of the id matter.

There's like 20-25 on this board that can see it now. Added to the 20-25 who could see it before. Too much? You make the call.

why are people so obsessed with the amount of people who can and cannot see it?

There are a lot of overachievers on these boards, and because of that, a lot of people will be able to see it.

As tupac said, if the rate went by how many people got into UCLA, then it would be 90%

Dammit, now I wish I hadn't already submitted it! I want to see if my application was updated!

you submitted the housing app?

honestly, submitting early was the stupidest thing you could have done, if admissions deems that unethical, you are rejected!

I doubt there's anything unethical about submitting the housing app early. If anything, it's proactive. When I called the housing office about a month ago about being able to see the app at all, they seemed to imply that it would be a good idea to apply as early as possible if someone could see the app already.

yeah, its not a big deal that lane b submitted it early...

After agonizing over this housing application thing for some time, I think it finally has some merrit.

Although I could see the application for awhile now (went to UCB summer school) it just updated my information (new e-mail address etc...)...

I am a 19, but that is meaningless. I know several people who have never been able to see it as 17,18,19.

3.82 English Major, IGETC, Honors, ec's blah blah... Accepted UCLA / UCSD...

I am more optimistic that seeing the application may actually mean accepted.... Still, dont know anything until Monday but it gives me new hope.

Totally meaningless that Laneb submitted early.. You could actually call up the housing office and submit an application to them anytime you wanted to get on a waitlist.

but i read somewhere that housing is done in a random lottery and not first come first serve

i thought u were guaranteed housing @ berk.

Assignments are made according to a random lottery number system, not on a first come, first served basis. After each housing deadline, applications are processed and assigned a random lottery number. Starting with lottery number 1, students are assigned to available space in each hall. As halls are filled and students' first preferences are not available, second preferences are considered and assigned if space permits. This process continues through the fifth preference. As halls fill, we may be unable to offer students any of their five choices. See Application Instructions for Question #11 for more information.
