I’m trying to figure out which AP exams I need to take to satisfy some GE requirements for Mechanical Engineering. So far, I’ve taken World, AB, USH, Lang, and Bio. This year, I will take Lit, US Gov, and BC for sure as these ensure me useful credit, as long as I take POLS 111 online.

Now to my question: Do I need to take microeconomics or comp sci? These only give me elective units, so I’m not sure if I need to take them, since I don’t have fee electives. However, it could help my standing maybe. I don’t really understand “standing”, so if someone could explain this to me, that would be great. Also, I don’t know if having extra standing is useful as a Mechanical engineering major.

I believe “standing” has to do with discipline and such. So if you get suspended for some reason, you’re no longer “in good standing.”
