Does anyone know how “well-known” Cal poly is on the east coast? I do not plan on living in California after I graduate and am worried my degree from cal poly will not resonate with employers on the east coast/south. Any advice? Thanks!
any time you go to a school that’s far from the region you want to work, your job prospects will be greatly compromised. It doesn’t have anything to do with the quality of education. It’s because most companies, even big ones, recruit locally. Of the more than 400 CP B school grads in 2013 reporting their jobs, only 15 were not in California. So, can you do it? Absolutely. Will it be a lot more difficult, because you’ll have to do much of the search on your oun? Unfortunately, yes. Where do you hope to live? Where else are you applying? Good luck.
