<p>I’m not a poli-sci major, but I’ve taken a couple of pols classes. As far as I can tell, it’s a lot like most of Poly’s liberal arts majors - good, but not the best. You’ll definitely have plenty of opportunities to get involved, get an internship if you want, and learn a lot. Obviously, the program is not as well known here as say aerospace engineering, but I think you’ll still get a good education. I enjoyed the political sciences classes I took. The teacher’s in the department are all know a lot about the material they are teaching, and there are three different concentrations you can choose from, so you get to focus on what you like.</p>

<p>My high school GPA was about a 3.7, if I remember correctly. I didn’t really have many ec’s, just some community volunteer work and I worked as a teacher’s aid for a couple of years. The Cal State’s don’t really look too much at ec’s though. It’s more about what classes you took, your GPA, and test scores I think.</p>
