PLEASE CHANCE, wait is killing me! Political science major

I am applying to Cal Poly’s political science program, which seems nowhere near as popular as their engineering therefore probably less selective. Still, I am nervous!
Here are my stats, please tell me what you think my chances look like and if you are also applying to Political Science, let me know!

Female Hispanic
3.47 Cal Poly GPA, Freshman year was not so good
ACT: 31
SAT: 1230
11-15 Hour work week, although less than 25% was related to my major
21+ years of extra-curricular activities WITH leadership positions

PLEASSEEEE give me feedback, much appreciated!

You are certainly right that a politcal science major will be easier to get into than engineering, much easier in fact. Your ACT is much higher than the liberal arts school average and comparative to the engineering school, but you GPA was lower than average. Hopefully you improved after your freshman year and took some difficult classes to account for that, they will notice that. I would say you have a shot at acceptance, and the work experience should help. But your definately not gaurunteed admissions based on your lower GPA. Good luck though!

AVG GPA: 3.85
AVG ACT: 28

thanks jared53! I do have a positive trend in GPA from freshman to junior year, and the majority of my classes have been Honors/AP/IB; so I hope they will consider that. Do you know where I could find information on the number of applicants and averages for Political Science in specific, all I find is info on the College of Liberal Arts.
