Hey everyone. I wanted to weigh my options on my top choices for this upcoming application season. I’m going to be applying to SLO+Pomona with a GPA of 3.37 as an Electrical Engineering major. I had a 3.58 before last spring, but I failed Calc 3 and I am retaking it this semester. I switched from a computer science major to an EE major, and this will be my 3rd year at my California Community College. I plan on having all of the major prerequisites done for these colleges, including linear algebra, diff eq, and my retaking of calc 3 by the end of spring 2016 (with around 100-ish units taken). I read a bit on last fall’s transfer thread, but I would appreciate some valuable input from everyone. Thanks in advance to all who respond
You have a decent chance at CPP but SLO will be tough.
With a 3.37, i don’t think either is very likely because of your major. SLO admits just a few hundred Engineering transfers each year, last year, the avg GPA was 3.55. Pomona accepts a similar number.

Oddly, your GPA is plenty to TAG Davis or Riverside…

Apply to all of them, TAG one of the UCs as a fall-back and see what happens.
Good luck.
Ok. Thanks guys. Pomona is my #1, so I hope things work out for me
