Hello, I am currently a senior in northern California at a very good public high school (top 10% in California). I am also in the top 11% in my school out of around 460 students. And I am white male if that matters.
GPA:

3.81(CSU)*
SAT:1740
(I plan on taking the math level II subject test in November.)
Extracurricular’s:
Eagle Scout
CSF member
300+ hours of community service.
Can anyone tell me what my chances are for getting into Cal Poly Pomona with these given stats? Are there any members out there that have attended Cal Poly Pomona that could tell me a little about the school and how they liked it (or didn’t)?
Thanks.
You should be fine. I live near Cal Poly Pomona and I see people with similar stats get in no problem.
What Major do you plan on applying for?
I am currently attending Cal Poly Pomona as a Civil Engineer Major. I transferred there from a Community College last year. So far I really like the school. They have excellent staff. Anything specific you would like to know?
Do you live on campus or in an apartment near campus or at home? How welcoming do you think the campus community was in your first year and did you struggle adjusting at all to college life there? And what is one major difference you noticed between high school and College at Cal Poly Pomona?
And I am applying for Computer Engineering.

Yeah I would love to know some things! How welcoming do you think the campus community was in your first year and did you struggle adjusting at all to college life there? What do you mean by excellent staff, how are the excellent?
I just got accepted 2 weeks ago and I am debating on whether I should go to UC Irvine or cal poly Pomona for computer engineering.
Thanks.
