Cal Poly Pomona - Winter Transfer 2018

@POLSi667 yeah, i got my fingers crossed hoping I get readmitted. Good luck 2 everyone else maybe we’ll hear back tomorrow!

actually , disregard

@messybun disregard what?

@POLSi667 I wrote a response to the other poster and their returning to cpp situation, but I deleted it lol

@messybun oh okay lol

my status just changed to "Pending Admissions Decision "

I called admissions again and spoke to a guy that said he doesn’t know anything, just wait. So i asked for someone that knows things. He transferred me to his supervisor, she said that I’m on track even though my portal says “ready for review” and still pending transcripts even though they for sure have them.

She said the portal can take up to 2 weeks to update after they change something. And it’s not possible to see if they have even looked at my application.

She also said that they will finish up with accepting ppl for winter by the end of November and maybe into early December. They have just started reviewing applications 2 weeks ago and accepting ppl last week.

So, I need to get things going because I like being prepared. I decided to accept CSULB, I wish I accepted them when i first got my offer. Oh well.

@MLopez24 That’s weird because @messybun said that fees are due Nov 16th. Maybe there will be an exception for those admitted later. Are you planning to attend CSULB, even if you get a late acceptance from CPP?

Enrollment/orientation fees for transfers

*Enrollment/orientation fees for transfers

@POLSi667 Yes, 99% sure. I already paid acceptance fee and orientation fee for CSULB.

They only way I’ll switch is if i get some kind of financial award which is unlikely, lol.

They are both great schools, but CSULB seems to be much more organized.

Hey everyone! I am having the same issue with pomona. I have been looking at this forum for a while. So I got accepted to csu stan. Still waiting on pomona. If i accept csu stans admission, is there a way I can still accept pomonas admission after and not go to csu stan.

@MLopez24 Ugh that’s terrible news, I’m sorry. I can’t imagine how frustrating it is to have to take a risk between CSULB/waiting on CPP. CPP is notorious for their slow administration. CSULB is still an amazing school, at least.

@POLSi667 Also some more info. Registration for orientation begins mid November (like the 19th ish) and orientation dates officially start around December 1st. I know the admissions people “say” letters will go out all the way until December but realistically I think it should be earlier… cause there’s too much being pushed back if so.

@jp2102 did you ever get a response for your industrial engineering application? I’m wondering if they regarded the engineering majors first.

@Asadfahim123 Yeah I’m sure you can accept Pomona, you’d just be losing the enrollment confirmation deposit you made to CSU Stan, probably.

@Asadfahim123 Yah I think you should be able to, just check out their admissions faq. Since that’s what I plan on doing for csuf since in their admissions faq it said you would need to notify admissions immediately and drop any classes you were planning on taking. I will probably decline csuf admission if pomona does accept me though.

Anyone new get a decision yet?

@mhern04 no :((

Also playing the waiting game, applied under CIS.
Status is currently: Pending Admission Decision

Hey guys I just checked today and my status changed to provisional admission and I applied for the CIS major. So hopefully you guys hear something soon! Btw do any of you guys know what that means? Since I finished all my classes in the summer so I’m not sure what else they need to verify?

@iilynx: Have you submitted your final transcripts since you completed all your classes this summer? If so, most likely it is just a “canned” message posted for all admits.

@iilynx Congrats! I was admitted provisionally too, I called the admissions people and they assured me it’s normal. They do this so that if you don’t meet any requirement/deadline, the school has a way out from having to accept you. Just make sure you complete all tasks (paying your ECD on time, registering for orientation, attending orientation, etc) in a timely manner.
