Cal Poly Pomona - Winter Transfer 2018

Give em hell @purplesuede23 tell em to get it together.

@messybun Thanks for the encouraging words, if I get accepted I will raise a tall glass of the finest liquour to your kindness and warmth.

@POLSi667 it’s a long running joke, cuz it’s a joke of a class that actually do exist and will probably always have room.

@messybun Yep, everything was in order. I kindly denied CSULB and CSUF of their admission offers on 6/6/2017 and the denial letter came on 6/7/2017. It’s one of those situations where you can’t even be mad it just worked out so bad but so well.

@purplesuede23 New transfer students register during our one-day orientation on December 1st. Registration period ending tomorrow is for students already attending CPP

@MajorSwindle Did you get your $150 enrollment fee refunded?

@messybun i just called cal poly and they said for students that get in after Dec. 1 there will be another orientation date… but idk if she really even knows anything. a lot of the people i talk to on the phone dont know the answers to a lot of questions and some of them say different things than others…

this is so frustrating…

also i heard if you have your AA-T that if you do not get in to the cal state you applied to that they will send your info to other cal states and you will get into at least 1 cal state…??? did anyone else hear this?

@mkim0114 It’s bogus, tomorrow is the end of the last week that acceptances are sent out. After Thanksgiving break denials will be sent out. That’s the information that was given to me.

@POLSi667 who told you that?

@POLSi667 curious to where u got the info as well

@cppappealer @mkim0114 A friend of mine who’s a student worker in the admissions office. She’s the one who told me that this quarter they’re accepting fewer applicants because they’ve let in so many students for fall quarter, and expecting even more since CPP is moving to a semester system. However, rest assured if you’re a local and an exceptional student, you’ll be accepted.

@POLSi667 any hope I had is now gone.

@POLSi667 omg wow… so your friend basically told you that locals (mt. sac students) and students with a really high GPA will get in for sure?

however the other students that are not locals and do not have good gpa’s will get denied after tomorrow basically…?

@mkim0114 thats basically how I understand it.

@Zygole im a local but im not an exceptional student… now im super stressed and scared,…

Hey guys
I am a transfer applicant from SBVC for business (GPA 3.4). I’ve been on “ready on review” since Oct 26, and my to-do list has nothing. I haven’t heard a peep from CPP since, and I’m starting to get worried.

Pretty nervous now too after the reading the information, I messed up in a Cal State prior to attending CC so my GPA is slowly being fixed but it’s not the best.

When I say “exceptional,” I mean a 3.0 GPA or above. I think that’s all of you, so don’t worry too much.

I wonder why there hasn’t been any progress on my application. I’m going to call tomorrow, although it seems like nobody is actually getting any good or consistent information.

@POLSi667 i have a 2.5…

@POLSi667 your inside man’s info makes sense, however it’s not over just yet. It’s pretty ridiculous for them to send out denied letter this late though.

@MajorSwindle i agree
