Hello, I’m an Electrical Engineering major and so far I got accepted to Cal Poly SLO and UCR, I’m wondering which school would be a better choice for better job opportunities and better reputation for engineering. Thank you
Cal Poly SLO, hands down. It has a great reputation in industry along with having their teaching focused on hands on and “learn by doing”. A UC would be better for research but UCR doesn’t have the greatest reputation among the UC’s. It’s typically seen as one of the bottom two, alongside UCM.
