<p>i am a deciding between the two schools and its pretty close. I want to study engineering, or computer science. At Cal Poly i am into the major and can switch within the engineering department relatively easy vs UW i have to apply for the majors. With CS being extremely competitive and (civil) engineering at UW not easy to get into either, i am apprehensive about going there. I LOVED the UW campus and would enjoy going to PAC12 sports games. However, i have friends at Cal Poly and the campus seems a lot more inviting and not quite as overwhelming. the biggest concern i have is getting into the majors engineering major i want, any information on the matter would help.</p>
