Cal Poly SLO Vs University of Miami

Hi everyone,I am a student of architecture with a good GPA standing(3.7) who would like to transfer to a top university after graduating Community college. However, based on the statistic that there aren't too many job for architect. So, i started doing some research about university that offer a dual degree in architecture and business.unfortunately, there aren't too many of them that offer dual B.arch/MBA degree. among the few that offer such dual degrees, i narrowed it down to Cal Poly SLO and University of Miami, both of which have offered the kind of dual degree that i want. Now,it is hard to decide which one to attend. may somebody help me answer these few questions and also help me make that important decision.

-Which one have the highest ranking nationally for best university?

-Which one have the best architecture and business Program?

-Which one have the highest job placement after graduation?

-Which one can help me land a good job with a good salary(either in architecture or business) as an entry level?

Cal Poly SLO architecture program is VERY well though of and very competitive. I have no idea about the U of Miami program. You haven’t gotten into either program as of now, have you? Apply to both programs, see if you can transfer into both and then come here and ask your question.

Cal Poly SLO has a career survey specific to each major:

Miami’s career survey does not appear to have major-specific information:

Have you actually applied, been accepted, and run the numbers for just exactly how you would pay for your degree at each place? If not, then there isn’t much point in worrying just yet, is there?

One or the other of these could be the best thing since sliced bread (as the saying goes) but if you can’t pay for it, you aren’t going to be able to go.

I would agree, are you instate for either school. Costs could be a big factor. Isn’t OofM a private school?
