Excellent, thank you for your reply!

Which do you guys think I have a higher chance of:

Getting into UCB or getting my twenty bux back?

luv2 -- if you live in Albany near the Village those are the ones.

calrentals -- at what time will decisions for transfers be posted on april 30?

does the limit approach 5pm from the left or from the right? or is it closer to 6pm?

calrentals... I am a registered student and live at the village. it's just that there is so much construction going on outside my patio that it's really noisy like 6:00 in the morning and my son's wall keeps getting bumped into by the construction workers, so I was happy when they said that it was supposed to be done by July, I just wanted to confirm w/ you because I love everything else about the village so I'm guessing the noise will be gone soon... =)

TheIcon: I'm sorry I don't know the time, you could check with the admissions office.

luvtoolearn: The apartments will be ready to move-in at the end of July, but the construction noise will be winding down before then. I'm glad to hear that you like the Village and so sorry that you've been impacted.

RChang is that you again? If so you should have had your username as CarRentals and said something like "your car is ready to be serviced now" LOL!

calrentals: Can you please explain some attributes of the typical appartments at cal? Are they well furnished, are shelves provided and are the rooms somewhat spacious, how clean are they, the difference between singles vs. doubles, are beds/matresses provided, what about refrigerators and microwaves, restrooms and bathrooms, etc?

I apologize in advance if some of these questions seem retarded. I haven't visited any of the dorms yet.

Bringing back the dead.

Let's try to see if we can verify this theory.

Status: Accepted
Cal Rental Approval (email #2): Yes

accepted, never received emails from cal prior to admittance

For the sake of minimizing the amount of posts, please reply only if you applied for Cal Rentals. Also, state which email you received and your admission status.

this whole thread is useless

Attending: UCLA..

I sense some jealousy. If this thread is useless and doesn't pertain to you, you are more than welcome to get the fk out of here.

If I recall correctly, only three of us got email #2 (I think changusmc, Blurry, and Ektaylor - correct me if I'm wrong - and it seems like all of you guys got in). I only received email #1, but I still got in. I personally think they already had the three of you entered into the "database" at the time, since it seemed like all three of you had high stats and were definite "yeses", and sending out email #2 was in fact a "glitch" indicating acceptance.

Just letting you guys know that this theory is invalid.

I got e-mail #2 but was rejected by Berkeley.
After days of calling, I finally got an answer from CalRentals.
Apparently there was a mix up on their part - I don't know about the others, but on my part they assumed I was a summer visitor looking for a sublet even though I had not indicated that on the application.

So for those of you transferring next year, take my advice and do not use this as a basis to gauge your chances of getting into Cal.
