Cal State fullerton acceptance?

@JunhoL That gives me so much hope. We have about the same stats. When did you send your transcripts?

I send my transcript as soon as my 1st semester was over, so I think I send it somewhere in February. My grades for 1st semester was really good, I had a 3.8 GPA, so I think that might of help. Hope you get in! :)

I have a question about the ELM/EPT. I have already taken the EPT and passed, and for ELM, I am conditional. That means I have to pass my math class with a C or better. But my status keeps on saying that I am required to take the ELM or the early start program. What do I do? (Or do I have to wait till senior year is over, and then send in my transcript)

Congrats JunhoL!

Has anyone else just gotten loans and no actual aid on their financial aid package? Have they given out the grants yet? Im a transfer student and all the awards I have are loans :/. I am praying that my financial aid package is not complete.

Ngarcia, i got the max loans and pell grant but it also says estimated state grant. So I pretty much got the full deal. I’m only a few hundred short of having their estimated coa, which I’ve never needed that much.

Annabel- Im hoping that they were looking at my estimates and not my actual parents taxes which i submitted earlier last month. Im getting more financial aid at my current community college living with my parents! This makes no sense.

Right now its gotta just be estimates. The cal-grants for transfers haven’t all been decided yet (at least mine hasn’t).

Check the webgrants4students website and make sure they got your GPA and what not!

Thanks for that website! They have everything and its pending but for the school it says USC and not all of the other schools I applied for.

omgitsjosie: I believe the state grant is the cal grant since the amount I was awarded is exactly the cal grant A.

I got around 11.5k in grants (if the estimates are correct), not going to take the loans.

So is CSUF still giving out admissions? I haven’t paid much attention to CSUF because I’m waiting on Cal Poly Pomona at the same time.
Also, I messed up on transcripts. I did not send them in, it was due on Mar 23rd. I will call them on monday to see what i can do, do you guys have any advice? or have a confirmation that I have already screwed up and there is no chance for me to get in. Just let me know, I’d rather take the truth instead of worrying all the time.

Please, and thank you!

yeah i was looking around and i found out the state grant was the cal grant, but its weird cus on the webgrant4students page it says the award estimate is 12,000 and all i need to do to get it is graduate, but on the estimate im being given on the portal it says around 5,000. so its not that great cus even with the loans, it doesnt cover housing.

You only get $12,000 if you plan to go to a UC.

I got in a week ago for Accounting.
I live within the area & have joined the CSUF Class of 2O16 facebook group.
& about the post on GPA of like 3.O+ for impacted programs,
if that’s the case, then how did I get in with a 2.67 ? :D

If I can make it, all of you guys who are waiting can make it too !
Don’t lose hope !

@dangggtrinh- People that live in the district get priority. If you lived outside of the area then a 2.6 most likely wouldnt have cut it.

Can someone HELP! I sent in my transcripts weeks ago and now they’re saying that my application has been withdrawn 'cause they haven’t received one of them (I had 2). Is there anyway to still have a chance of getting in? Does anyone know?! I mean it’s not my first choice school. Mine is UCLA and 2nd is Long Beach and 3rd is UCSB but this was my super back up just incase I get denied by all of the above so I’m not too worried but I still need this safety net.

Go to UCLA. It’s super gangster.

Otherwise I think you should call them and point out their error.

So cal state Fullerton told me not to even try and appeal my application 'cause I have no chance. And this was after i told them that cal state fullof***** was my last choice out of the schools i applied to. Anyway, It’s not like I’m missing out 'cause attending cal state Fullerton is like choosing the last girl at the bar 'cause all the hot ones were taken so you settled for low standards. Or you tried to apply yourself to the hot ones but you were denied. So yeah I sent in my transcripts late 'cause I didn’t care about this school. But anyway… It’s a good school but it’s just not for me so i decided to give an honest rant about it. Bye

@BascoThePooch- So what school are you going to?

I applied to Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, and Calstate Long beach. After my counsleror insisted I would get denied by all of those but so far i’ve made it to the finals for long beach. And I guess that’s why I have a problem with Fullerton. All these counselors tell all sorts of students that’s their only chance and many settle with it. I’m not saying it’s a bad school, I just feel bad for most transfer students that don’t get to apply to their dream school 'cause they were told not to. Ya know what I mean?

I have a question. Did anyone received a score of ‘conditional’ for math on the EAP test (the one that’s taken with the CST in 11th grade)? On your Fullerton portal, does your ELM status say required? Or conditional?
