If you aren’t too far, explain all of this to your teacher. Tell her/him that you’ve been accepted to a University and you will get denied admission if you dont get atleast a C in this class. Junior College teachers are a lot more understanding with situations like this since they are there to get teach kids and prepare them for a University.

Yea, I’ve completed all of the other required math courses. I have like a 68%. Last semester I had the same problem in Pre-Cal. I had a 71% and I was so nervous that I was going to fail the final but I ended up getting a B in the class. (this class has a very similar syllabus so I can still get a B)

I already explained to the teacher that I needed to pass the class but I know that I will. I’ve already prayed about it and I know what I need to do and it is going to come together! I’ve been wanting to go to Fullerton for years!

If you already completed another math class that is a part of the golden 4, then should be fine. They will use that class to fulfill that part of the golden 4.

Hey just keep working hard. Stay positive and good luck.

3 weeks ago we were put on the waitlist and today we’re in!!! D is a FTF Comm/Adv major; out of area. We had resigned ourselves to not hearing anything until July!

tum - we got it by portal. I had just gone in to check if they had acknowledged receipt of the housing payment (which they wanted even from wait-listed students). It was such a surprise! We last checked about 3 - 4 days ago so it happened sometime during that period. This was her #1 choice so she is very, very relieved and happy!

Sdsualum, I am quite already aware that not all schools offer premajor classes the school requires. In this case I dont see how it would apply because ngarcia is taking it, so obviously they do offer the required course.

Ngarcia, if the grading structure is the same I would t worry so much. It sounds like you will be okay. I’m currently getting a D in a class that i a premajor requirement. But I know I will pass after I get my final project turned in and the extra credit. Don’t psych yourself out of passing. You will get it done! :)

What I am saying is that you dont need to take all the premajor classes that your CC offers. So if someone already got admitted but then didnt pass their pre major class. They still can get in. The schools put most of their attention on the golden 4 and the rest of the IGETC. Taking pre major classes are just an extra advantage you can add, but they arent required to take in order to get in.

mimsmom- DId They asked you for housing payments on your to do list? I’m waitlisted for business admin FTF but I only have financial aid stuff on my to do list even though I have to dorm

Tum - we’ve only made the housing deposit, which we did by sending in a check with the forms that had to be filled out. I know that for my older son who’s at another CSU (but also uses the same type of portal and cashnet) that once they add in all the charges for the semester (sometime in July?) you can then make your payments - maybe this will work the same way?

@tum741 Housing stuff isn’t done through you’re to do list. Its mostly through e-mail and snail mail. If you have already applied for housing they will, if there is space, send you a license agreement in the mail and then you have to return it to them with a housing deposit of $350. I just sent mine off today as well.

Due to not knowing where to go, i did not apply for housing, is it too late or can i still apply for housing to get a spot. It being a commuter school i know its not going to be impacted however i want to know if I’am screwed or not, thanks.

you should still try to apply for housing. and it is impacted… there’s few dorms and there are a lot of people on waitlist, oos students, and students who don’t live close lol.

I was wait listed and now denied a minute ago… gpa 3.0 sat 1040 FTF out of area business.

I had no idea about the competitiveness for fullerton. I rly thought they’d wait for spots to open up after everyone pays deposit today. Isnt that what wait list is for?! anyway just sucks right now but i’ll have to try and appeal…

Anybody know ppl who got in below my stats? or still waiting?

@tum471
I’m sorry to hear that you did not get in When you say FTF out of area business, did you mean your major is business or you live outside of the local area? (sorry I got confuse)

If your major is business, it will be tough to get in because it is an impacted program. They will only accept people with better stats. The waitlist also goes by eligiblity index, so perhaps your index was not as high as the other waitlisted people.

& if you live outside of the local area, you will need a higher GPA to get in.

I got this from fullerton. But it’s weird how they say they will be accepting/denying waitlisted people around June-July, yet it’s only May.

Q: How are students selected from the waitlist?
A: The waitlist is rank-ordered according to Eligibility Index. If we are able to utilize the waitlist, we will be admitting applicants according to the Eligibility Index from highest to lowest, until maximum capacity is reached.

I talked to my counselor andconfirmed with the admissions office at Fullerton and they both said that I will still get in even with my D. Pre-Cal and Trig have fulfilled my “Golden Four” requirement and even though Calculus is a pre-requisite it still wont affect me. The lady I talked to at admissions said that you should only be concerned if they sent a grade report requesting my spring grades. If not then there is no worries.

Bottom Line: IM ECSTATIC! God always has everything worked out my friends.
