I’m still waiting as well. Portal says the same as Rose. I’m a Theatre Arts Major.

Just got accepted today!!! :D

Wow congrats! I guess if you haven’t heard anything for csuf but not waitlisted, you’ll most likely be accepted.

Are you planning to enroll?

Oy vey I have no idea. I’ve got a couple things I need to consider. I’m at SFSU right now and they’ve got a pretty good cinema department but fullerton has a better theatre department so i’m kind of waffling. We’ll see.

I currently have a D in Calculus(68%). The way the class works I can still end up with a B but if I get a D do you think they will decline my admissions?

I got in with distinction and my other grades are looking good. I will probably get two A’s and a B in my other courses.

Oh and my major is Business Admin. so its a pre-requisite.

Ngarcia, you can’t have a d in any golden 4 or premajor required classes. It should even say in that blue box below your admission status that it’s “contingent on completing your golden 4 with a c or better”

Do you think they will let me make it up at Fullerton and just keep my status as a a pre-business major until I pass? I guess I just have to pray real hard and everything will work out in the end.

Congrats Jessica!

I called today because my application still has no decision. Like usual, the lady on the phone was no help. She couldn’t even tell me when is the last day they’re sending out decisions for transfers. Does anyone happen to know what day is the last day for transfer students?

I’m a transfer student, and my admission status still reads no admission decision has been made at this time. However, I already have been accepted to CSULB which is my number 2 choice, what are the chances of me getting accepted to Fullerton?

Ngarcia, they won’t accept you as a premajor because not passing stats with a C would keep you at the lower division level. Unless you took another acceptable math course? Plus you absolutely must have your 60 units. I’ve seen people on the threads have their admission rescinded by being short just a unit.

Ngarcia. I think you are fine.

Everyone gets accepted as “pre-major”. No one is actually in the major when they first enroll. Its like that at all CSU’s. As a transfer, your CC won’t have every Pre major class that CSU requires. And regardless if you are a transfer or have been at the CSU for a couple years…you have to complete all the pre major classes until you can become officially in the major. Its like that for all majors.

so regardless if you get an A in that class or a D. You will still be a pre-major your first year, or until you complete all of the pre major classes. So thats why I think you still have a chance. And as long as you have 60 units. A D is actually a completed class. So that unit counts. Its only F’s where you dont get that unit.

I went to Fullerton personally because of some of my problems and I overheard one of the people working there talking to another person. They say that they can only check to see if they received your transcript or anything that you send them. They see the exact same thing on your application for you status of whether you’re going to get admitted, waitlisted or rejected. So calling in or going to their office won’t give you any answers, you’ll just have to wait! Good luck for those who still is waiting for a reply.

Annabel/SDSUalum- hmmm two very different opinions lol. Do you think I should just call and see what they have to say? I have over 60 units.

If you have over 60 units. You will be just fine.

has anyone been accepted to EOP also?
its already April and I havent heard back from the program
and it does not appear on my financial aid package :S

Sdsualum, because of the competitiveness, impacted majors, and budget cuts CSUs are requiring that you have everything done before you transfer. If you don’t have ALL of your lower division GE and premajor stuff done, they won’t take you. They arent taking lower division transfers or allowing summer classes. It’s even stated below your admission status page in the portal that your admission is contingent on completing golden 4 classes with a C or better. Times are tough. I really hope that you can get it done ngarcia! I have a friend who got his acceptance rescinded from Long Beach for being short on math.

Yikes. Im doing my best! Math has always hard for me but I know everything is going to work out in the end. I just wish I didnt have this much pressure but hey thats life.

Annabelle, You will soon realize that there are pre major classes that aren’t offered at community colleges. You have to take those when you transfer to that university. And must complete those before in order to be upper division major. When I transferred, my major had several pre major classes, which all majors do. But my community college only offered 1 class that was equivalent to one of the pre major classes. So my first semester at sdsu, I had to complete those pre major classes before I could take my actual major classes. No CC is going to have the equivalent to every single pre major class. You just have to complete all of the IGETC (or whichever form you use) and 60 units. And also the pre major equivalents that your CC offers. Again, they dont offer every single pre major class.

Pre major classes aren’t part of IGETC or golden 4. They are transferable of course but they dont always fulfill the golden 4.

However, I just realized that this math class is part of the golden 4, right? I thought it was just a pre major class that was recommended.

If its part of the golden 4. Then ya you need a C. But if its isnt part of the golden 4, then you are fine.

Yea, I believe Calculus is part of the golden 4 :/

I finally checked my acceptance letter and it say a grade of “C-” is NOT acceptable for any “Golden Four” classes. Thankfully, my college does not give out “-” or “+”.

Now did you complete another math class that was part of the golden 4 other than that calculus class?
