My daughter doesn’t want me to post her stats but she should be fine. She’s applying to theatre out of area but in state.
I called the office of admissions today since I was getting suspicious of how it was taking them so long to get back to me on my decision. Turns out I still need to send in my transcript. It’s pretty annoying they haven’t notified on this until now so I thought all of you that are still waiting should hear this!
hey guys! still no word from CSUN after calling admissions and being told that there was a problem with the way i self reported my A-G’s. i sent in my transcript beforehand and i was told that it’d take an additional couple of weeks to review my application again. would i still have a chance at getting accepted? considering the fact that they’re already working through tier 2 (?) applications and im local
I haven’t heard anything from CSUN. No emails, nothing. Application just says that I submitted. I’m a transfer student. Anyone know when we’ll hear back?
@casper97 maybe the next 2-3 weeks? It’s very frustrating
It has to be before May 1st. I was assured by admissions of this. But honestly not only is it extremely frustrating but very disheartening for those who wait. While every other college/university has rendered its decisions CalState continues to drag its feet. As I said earlier in this thread the latest I’ve heard of a school releasing admissions decisions is April 15. I would say if we all haven’t heard by that date, I would call admissions. Anytime after that is irresponsible. Decisions like these are not meant to be made with haste.
CSUN and CSUF are the only two cal-states that seem to be giving admissions super late compared to their peers. Only other schools I’m waiting on are UCLA and Berk… which is late-april
UCLA and Berk both won’t give out notice until late-april which can be well… from the 20th-30th. I hope CSUN isn’t that late too.
I haven’t heard anything from csun yet and I’m a local. Im applying for an impacted major - Kinesiology Exercise Science. Maybe I should give them a call just in case anything is wrong
Same I transfer student too. I found out that they said to wait until 1-2 week more if not then call them again after the second week. Oh yeah, @misstrendy They said that if not hear anything then called us again on April 15th. So, I am so frustrated that they said oh, They haven’t made any decision yet. I was like seriously you have whole almost 3 months before May.
I was just told on another thread that all transfer students need a 3.7 to be admitted. I’m hoping that isn’t actually the case or I’m out. Thinking about giving them a call.
Thank you. Yes, we sent ours in last week but they didn’t tell us to do it. The message says they have received it and that’s it. Still nothing.
My son emailed today and got zero response. I’ll let you know if they tell him anything else we don’t know.
So I’m local & applied to an impacted major psychology and haven’t heard back. Thanks to seeing people on this thread saying they called and then had problems, I decided to call to make sure nothing was wrong with my application. They said that they’re accepting a little bit of people everyday. They said to basically just keep waiting & id be hearing back soon. One of my close friends who I go to school with has a 4.0 GPA and got a 1030 on the SAT who applied to criminology has not heard back either. So I think they’re just taking their time with it.
The exact answer my son got from admissions was, “hopefully within a week we will have an answer for you.” Only time will tell…good luck all.
From what I’ve seen some people who have called have gotten different answers. I don’t even know what to do anymore, should I call?
@sall22 I think you should call just to make sure nothing is wrong with your application. I really want to go to csun, so I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. It’s a little tiring since we’ve waiting since November to get a response.
So here’s what I do know; if your current unweighted GPA and SAT or ACT min eligibility has not been met, they will deny you. So, make sure your GPA & ACT or SAT meets their eligibility index, period. Here’s the link: https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/eligibility-index/Documents/eligibility-index.pdf If you are currently working on meeting the GPA eligibility index by graduation, they don’t care, they will only accept your current GPA. If that’s your case, I suggest you call them and work with them directly. I think it’s a case to case bases.
Doubt thats true lol its CSUN not UCLA and even then
*Basis LOL
