Cal State Northridge Admission Class of 2022

does anyone already have an idea of which college you’ll attend? did anyone already accept your csun offer? :slight_smile:

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 Thanks for the kind words. hugs I see on some of the larger school’s threads so many knowledgeable people and I’m in awe of how they can help others through this process, be it through encouragement or just plain facts that they’ve gathered over the years. Anything I can do to help is my pleasure. Plus this stays available for those who next year might be having the exact same questions.

My son has been accepted at 3 schools so far: SUNY Purchase, Rutgers, and UNCSA. We’re waiting on CSUN (of course), LMU and USC (which we’ll know about this weekend). No decisions until all the cards are on the table for my son just yet but in the meantime I’ve learned a lot through this process that I didn’t know and met some stellar folks.

Thanks guys!! I’m not sure if I’ll attend yet I’m still waiting to hear back from other schools but CSUN is definitely my second choice after UCI. And yes I am from LA. Also still deciding if I want more of a college experience or if I want to stay home like I did at my CC.

@sarsar101 Congrats! Hopefully mine will be same :frowning:

I believe e CSUN is my Ds top choice as of today. She is not quite ready to accept.

My D’s top choice is CSUF and we are still waiting on them. They said it could take as long as mid April early May. Also still waiting on CSUN (2nd choice) and UCI. She’s already in SDSU and SFSU. Theatre Major.

@sarsar101 Congratulations on your acceptance! I got admitted a few days ago too and I’m a LA local as well but I’m waiting for UCI to get back to me because that is my first choice of school (:
Let’s both hope for the best! good luck! Hopefully we can both see each other as #Futureanteaters! hehe

@misstrendy let me know where your son decides to go then :slight_smile: This process has been so overwhlemimg to me just like for everyone else but there are a lot of nice people here who are always helping to cope with ‘college grief’. I know sometimes it may seem like the end of the world but I know that when we will all be in a college, all these problems disappear. it’s been a tough process for me and still is but people helped me. :slight_smile: all the best coming to you and your son.

@yandhow it is best to hear from all colleges and then make a choice. I already have an idea but I’m waiting for other decision. no rush :slight_smile:

@Christinesoh waiting from UCI too. Im not that positive about it but I got into csun @sarsar101 I hope we will attemd the same school :slight_smile:

@Christinesoh and @SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I hope we really do see each other around!! It would be great to know some people in a new school!

@Christinesoh @sarsar101 yeah good and then weeill ask each other “hey were you college confidential?” :slight_smile:
idk if you already said that butwhat’s your major? :))
i’m actually looking for roommates so I woudnt mind sharing that

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I asked D to check out the CSUN campus before she makes her final decision. (We live in San Diego so it is an easy 3 hour drive to visit.) We r waiting on UCI but it is her high reach school and she has determined she really wants what CSUN offers. At the moment she is deciding between CSUN, CSULB, SDSU & CSUF for film/cinema. She did not apply to UCLA or any private schools (private schools were too $$.) We will spend time analyzing the pros and cons of each then I believe she will make a final decision before May 1. I am glad you have an idea of where you want to be next year :slight_smile: All the best to everyone!!

hey y’all!! im a local applicant still waiting for admission. im pretty worried and stressed over it considering the fact that some classmates have already heard back from CSUN. i feel as if im the only local still waiting. my chosen major isn’t impacted either! :frowning: i hope some good news comes soon…
im new to college confidental and im so glad i found this! seeing that some others are in my shoes as well and are still waiting on news from CSUN is somewhat relieving.

@dwukki Don’t worry!! My best friend who’s a local too hasn’t gotten anything yet either!!

Welcome @dwukki and I’m so glad you found us. First check your portal. Pretty much everyone on this thread didn’t get a formal email but their portal on CSUN updated to reflect their admission status. Also check your CSUN email. I know my son gets emails from CSUN with scholarship opportunities there and so even if there’s nothing indicating a decision, it’s worth checking. Finally don’t be afraid to ask questions of folks in here. There are some super awesome people in this little thread who will and can answer questions if you have them. I’m just that crazy mom who tries to help out when I can. 8-}

@dwukki hello fellow,
Dont worry. There are still many people waiting for an admission decision from CSUN. Sometimes they just take longer than expected, they must be still evaluating. It doesnt mean anything bad :slight_smile:
I’m wishing you good luck and welcome on the site! You’ll find out that there are many students just like you. From my own experience I can tell you not to worry if you havent gotten a decision yet :slight_smile: it’s on the way!

Again, good luck and there are a lot of people ready to help and listen to you.

I hope you’ll get in!!

Where are you from? :slight_smile: LA?

@misstrendy are you familiar regarding registering for classes at csun? It’s on the portal :slight_smile:

AMERICANS ARE THE BEST!!!

I’m such a patriot student :slight_smile:

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I can only imagine it’s fairly easy to navigate. My older one goes to WVU and he navigates the registration portal with ease. Me, since I haven’t registered for a college class since I graduated in 1995, I might have some issues. Although I would see if you can talk to an advisor and make sure you’re taking the right courses to start. An advisor was always my saving grace at college and they guided me toward the achievement of earning that degree. It was worth it to communicate with my advisor (and it wasn’t as easy as an email then) to make sure I wasn’t wasting time and money. I’d suggest doing the same before any registration.
