@misstrendy thank you mom! Will try to do that :))
@dwukki I’m also local & haven’t heard back either! Except I did apply for an impacted major. I’ve only heard of people around 4.0 gpas getting accepted, expect even the people at my school with that gpa haven’t heard anything so I guess time will tell.
Has anyone received a letter from financial aid?
@pursequeen I received it yesterday (:
so have you received an admission decision or just the financial aid letter?
@pursequeen I received both (:
@Christinesoh wow ok, maybe he has been accepted then and admissions is moving slower than financial aid. Cause they are requesting a few documents to be completed by 4-30. Congrats on your acceptance…
@pursequeen hmm does it specifically say what documents to turn in? or is it just a general email about the financial aid status? Mine says my award letter will be posted soon.
For the admission decision, have you checked the portal and the CSUN email? It says it on the portal and they send you an email on your CSUN email. not your primary email (:
Awe thank you so much! I hope your friend (it seems like you are talking about a “he” so I’m assuming it’s for a friend (: ) gets accepted!
@Christinesoh no it’s my son, and I am praying he gets in, that’s his first choice. It does say it will be posted soon and it’s also a few things on his to do list.
@Christinesoh also the financial aid letter starts out by saying welcome to the university you’re a new matador, glad this was your choice, so on and so forth. I told my son to hold tight, not to get overly excited just yet. We need the admission letter to seal the deal.
I have yet to receive my admission decision. I’ve been accepted into UCSB, UCSD, and SDSU. I’ve been rejected from UCLA, CSULB, USC, Occidental, and waitlisted from LMU. I am interested in Film Production, and I’ve heard CSUN has a good film program, while UCSD has a Media Arts program, and UCSB just has film studies. I know that UCSB is an hour and a half or more from LA and UCSD is over two hours I think. I am interested in transfering to UCLA after two years, so which college would be the best choice if I’m trying to get into the film industry as soon as possible?
@iceberg2464 I’m not really familiar with the various programs that certain schools have and which school is best. I have heard about the engineering programs that some schools offer. But from interacting on this site, I have heard quite a lot about Northridge and their film program.
@iceberg2464 same here! i guess csun or csulb. Sdsu is cool too. My dream school was ucla. But it will be ok to start anywhere else for now and then see what happens. Dont be sad if you didnt get in!
@pursequeen good luck to your S, hope he gets in
I’m still uncertain about which colleges to go, I somewhat have an idea but I’m still waiting and thinking. (Film major).
Thank you we’re just semi-patiently waiting. It’s been extremely quiet. They must be up to something.
Have anybody heard anything?
Nada. No portal change. No email. No nothing. So frustrating…
around when should they send
award letters?
I have a question about the academic advisement. I understand that I (a first-time freshman) need to make an appointment for July 9th or later. Does anyone know if this appointment is either a face-to-face appointment, a phone call, Skype, etc? I just would like to know since I’m out-of-state (Wisconsin) and would need to make traveling arrangements. (This might be a stupid question lol!)
thank you!! by chance have they heard anything back yet??
