Cal State Northridge Admission Class of 2022

thank you so much for the warm welcoming! I’ve been checking both my portal and email like crazy for the past two weeks but still nothing :frowning:

thank you so much! and yes, i live fairly close to CSUN actually

oh really? well i hope you hear back from them soon! more of my classmates have gotten news but still nothing for me unfortunately :frowning:

@dwukki I hope we hear something soon…if not I’m definitely calling April 2. Hang in there.

after speaking to my high school advisors they told me that I should call and have them give me an application status. the woman I spoke to said that my application was still flagged for review but there was a “problem” with the way I self-reported my A-Gs (even though the other three CSUs I applied to had no problem with it lol). I sent my transcript in last Friday and she said that it had been received, but it can take a few more weeks for them to review it :frowning:

This entire process is really horrible! Around this time the schools need to be prepared.

So here’s what I’ll say. I agree that it seems as if they’re taking their time here. So I went and searched out decision dates for some other colleges and universities out there. The latest of all the Admission decisions I found is for Carnegie Mellon which come out on April 15 (which imho is ridiculously and unnecessarily late considering you have to commit by May 1). That being said I think that’s the absolute latest date I would wait to contact them for a difinitive answer. They’ve had the applications for 1st year students since November. That is plenty of time to decide. I’m disappointed that it’s taking them this long and frankly every other college and university my son applied to has already given us their decision, making it harder to see CalState as a viable option. I know many of you have decisions and that’s fantastic. For those waiting, just hold tight. I’m right there with ya!!

I guess I’ll go to CSUN guys! who’s with me??

and for those still hanging, you got this!!

When did you receive your admission letter @SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 and what’s your major?

@pursequeen oh I got my admission back in february (early decision I guess) and I’m a film major

Awesome congrats to you, still waiting :((

@pursequeen you got this, I’m hoping with all my heart that you get in! I know how hard it is to wait but you’re almost there!!

best housing apartment for on campus students?? @misstrendy

For freshman The Suites at University Park are the most cost effective option. For transfers and upperclassmen there are the Apartments at University Park (most w kitchens some w/o for less money) and The Apartments at University Village. Here’s the links to the housing rates and options. Happy dorming!!

Hi does anyone know when award letters are sent?

@misstrendy thank you mom! will your kid attend this school if accepted? hope he/she gets in come om everyone :))

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 if he gets accepted and gets a nice FA package then yes we would consider it. We’re far away so it’d have to be at least equivalent to what we’ve received thus far from other schools, if not better. And no problem on the housing info. (It’s funny all of my son’s friends call me mom too) it makes me smile.

@misstrendy is it possible to have the apartment during summer too?

I do not know that. I will say that most university run apartments that I’ve checked out with my older one at WVU actually have a 10 month lease that runs from August 1 to June 1. However, I’m not sure how these ones work. Contact housing for the details. They should know that.

@misstrendy hope to see you there! and thank you mom, always so kind and helpful :))
