Cal vs Cornell

I'm planning to pursue poli sci/history and go to law school afterwards. i'm from socal and visited both places, love them both. I can adapt to pretty much anywhere. I love the rural feel of Cornell and heck, it's an Ivy (not that names should matter, but sometimes, they do.) But I have gotten no aid, so Berkeley is by far the more practical choice. Thoughts?

If Ivy is important, go to Cornell. Berkeley is not a bad choice either. So it is really up to you.

I'm in a similar situation, and I think I'm going to go for Berkeley. It's it's also near family and gives more credit for IB, so those were some of the reasons I chose it. It's really up to you, and they're both great schools, so I wouldn't feel so pressured to make the "right" choice, since you'll obviously get a great education from either one. Good luck.

If it'll help, here's a link to the thread I made about my dilemma on the same topic:

I faced the same dilemma 5 years ago......chose Berkeley, and I don't regret it one bit.

I remember my friend telling me about his former roommate: he transferred from Berkeley to Cornell, and was trying to transfer back to Berkeley. haha, what a clown.
