<p>Man, are you serious? Have a look at threads discussing the weed-out of engineers, and competition at Berkeley… then have a look at the average GPA at Stanford. they are ranked #2 and #3 in Ph.D. strength, in Civil (I don’t know where to find environmental rankings for Ph.D.), but we’re talking undergrad here, and the experiences are as different as night and day … </p>
<p>Now, I would have to think long and hard about paying double to attend Stanford, but that is not the question you asked :)</p>
