Calc AB vs Calc BC- Which is more beneficial for an econ major applying to top business schools?

I’m currently a high school junior in the midst of transferring our of AB Calc to BC Calc and I’m wondering which is better based on how beneficial it is to an economics/finance major and which one business schools prefer, if they prefer one over the other. Both classes are rigorous but the BC teacher has informed me that I would do fine in BC and that AB is too easy for me. I got an A in first semester pre-Calc and likely a B in second semester pre-Calc.

If you are going into economics and finance, I’d say neither. AP Statistics is the best math class for future buisiness.

However, if you are dead set on Calculus, I’d take AB. Most buisiness schools only require Calculus I for Calc, which is equivalent to AB. Just because you get a good grade in Pre Calc doesn’t mean AP is a walk in the park. My freshman year I finished Pre Calc with A’s both summesters, and I’m about to finish AB with a B average.

From UPenn’s website

“Wharton applicants are strongly encouraged to take the highest level of calculus available in their secondary schools”

@mohchan360 @Dilan412 Im ending up taking BC, ill probably take some statistics courses in college

^right choice.
