I think that Emory calculates the GPA of applicants itself (instead of using the applicant's GPA from his/her school). Oxford has a calculator on its admissions website that lets applicants calculate their GPA according to the Oxford formula. I noted that the formula does not seem to use pluses or minuses (i.e. - A+) nor does it factor in if the classes are weighted (Honors and APs.) Could a representative of Emory tell us if Emory uses the same formula? Thus, if an applicant uses the Oxford on-line GPA calculator, can s/he also know that is the GPA that Emory uses in the admissions process?

No idea, to be honest. Oxford and the College of Arts and Sciences have separate admissions processes, but I don’t know if that means they have the same procedures. Why don’t you ask and let us know what the response is?

did you ever get a response
