At my high school we do not rank students or weight their GPA (i.e. If i take AP US History and someone else takes regular US History and I get an A and he gets an A we both get 4.0 points towards our GPA) and the grading system is 92.5-100=A, 88.5-92.5=B+, 84.5-88.5=B. However, I am certain that many high schools assign letter grades differently (for instance 90-100=A) so how does Michigan do it? please explain the system to me.

This is in regards to applying for college there next year, I want to know how the admissions committe calculates my GPA, not how the actual unniversity does for its students.

Remove freshmen year and non-academic classes. A+/A/A-=4.0, B+/B/B-=3.0, C+/C/C-=2.0, etc.

yeah but what is the range for an A? 90-100? 93-100? Or is it whatever your high school determines?

Seems unfair to me, but i will be biased.
