Calculating my transfer GPA to UT Austin

how will UT Austin calculate my transfer GPA. Like for instance if I took a class, for the sake of argument, lets call it Finite Math, and I got a B in that course. But since that class would not transfer over to UT Austin, will they calculate it into my GPA?

Also, if I were to have a B in a history course and retake it in summer school, and got an A, would they calculate the A into my GPA, not count it, or put both of the grades in when calculating my GPA?

Right now, i have a 3.3 and I am applying to the college of education as well as COLA. the reason I ask, is because i took two classes that significantly brought down my GPA, both of which would not be a transferable course to UT Austin.

Also, Final question, do you know what the average OOS transfer GPA to the college of education is? I have letters of rec, great essays, and good ECs. So do u think my chances would be good to get in?

I don’t know.

They will take both grades and count them both towards calculating your GPA.

I don’t know. 3.3 GPA out of state is pretty low for UT.

Hey, call the school and ask them these questions! I’m sure they will be more than willing to help you out. (:
