Calculator Features for AP Calc BC

Hi,

What calculator features are good to know for the exam?
Currently all I know that could be useful during the test is finding intersections of functions, finding zeros, and calculating derivatives and integrals.

I know nothing about how to do euler's methods, slope fields, and series and sequence things on the calculator.
Will I be OK even if I don't know how to perform these on the calculator, as far as I can do them by myself?
Of course, doing those with the calculator will save time, but I don't want to learn those new calculator techniques and have more to remember.

Thanks.

You don't need a calculator to do Euler's method.
To do slope fields, just put your calculator in differential equations mode.

I don't even know how to put in differential equations into the calculator. I also don't really know how to put in polar equations. They are too complicated. :(

Not sure what you mean exactly by differential equations.
If it's like: X^2*Y+XY=6
then there's no way to plug into the calculator, and such a FR doesn't allow one to use a calculator......

For polar: all you do is change the mode (which is located the upper top part) from function to polar.

Hope it helps.

thats wrong DorisZ

there is a way to do solve function for two variables, I think its something like (#=f(x),x,y... or some better syntax or something, I'm sure some ccer knows it.

you can do it on a TI89 :)

yeah thats what I'm talking about, whats the syntax for that?
