Which calculator is used for AP Calculus? Is it the TI-89?

Any permitted calculator is used for AP Calc BC. The most common ones are the TI-89 and TI-Nspire.

I love my TI-84/Nspire.

I don’t think you need a TI-89… i would go with a TI-84

You don’t need anything more than an 83 or 84, but it’s waaaaaaay easier if you have something like an n-spire CAS. I used a CAS on the exam and there were more than a few problems that the calculator could do with absolutely no thinking on my part.

TI-Nspire CX <3

You don’t really need anything better than the TI-83, but you are allowed to use way more expensive calculators on the exam. You might be able to save sometime with them.

Actually the prices are going down for the generally more expensive calculators. The more powerful calculators will save you time and anguish. There’s a reason why TI-89 or higher is more common.

I’m using a ti-83+ for ap calculus
