calculator policies

how do prof's check during midterms/finals whether you are using the proper calculator?
we are not allowed to use ti-89's only 83;s and 84;s. and i want to try and use my 89. i even colored it according to an 84

lmao. u colored it? bwhaha

yes i did. do u have a problem as to how i use my own calculator? psh

math: no calculators
physics: 1) no calculators, or 2) use whatever you want

don't remember about chem.

seeing as they are specific as to say only 83's and 84's, they'll probably check at the door when you go in or something similar.

sometimes they check and sometimes they don't check. i wouldn't risk taking a banned calculator and having them check because then you'll be without one. Plus using the TI-89 can give you an unfair advantage over everyone else in the class...

lol yes gmargos i think its very funny that u made ur calculator a different color to try to trick everyone into thinking its an 84. its actually one of the funnier things ive heard today.

i dont have a problem, i just think its hilarious..

i know that in my experience no calculator allowed in math, scientific calculator for chem with scerri, and graphing for physics and no calculator for corbin's physics class since the test don't have numbers

hmm well i succeeded into tricking the ta's into thinking my calculator was a ti-84 and i think i got a perfect score. BYEAH!
