Calculator Programs

6 days to go... calculator programs can save a TON of time and make problems easier, so if you know of any good ones, please post them. Remember though, they aren't a substitute for knowledge, they just make things quicker and more accurate.

All of these are for TI-89 Titanium. I think they work for TI-89 too.

Atrigga:
Atrigga - ticalc.org
Input 3 of the following: Side A, Side B, Side C, Angle A, Angle B, Angle C and this program will solve the triangle for you. Note: I recommend you add
:ClrDraw
:FnOn
:setGraph("Axes","ON")
to the end of the program. Otherwise you'll need to manually clear the image off of the graph screen, turn equations back on, and turn the axes back on after you use this program.

Quadform:

Everyone should have quad form :)

Conics Suite:
Ti-89 Conics Suite - ticalc.org
Lets you quickly enter a conic in standard form and then solves it to find out what sort of conic it is and what its equation, eccentricity, major axis, etc etc are.

SAT OS:
http://www.**********.com/support.html (you can get it for free with trial pay if you know what you're doing)
I actually don't really like SAT OS. It can come up with some answers pretty quickly, but it's cumbersome to navigate and a couple of its components (particularly the triangles one) are slow to load.

u can use an 89 for the SAT??!?!?!?!?

Yes. All TI calculators up to and including the 89 titanium are allowed. A few, like the Nspire and Voyager are not though.

conics arent on the sat I test are they… IF so I have yet to see one

Conics aren’t.

No they aren’t. I got that one for Math II actually. I should have made a distinction in my post.

is it legal to use calculator programs on the SAT 1? I was told it wasn’t.

It’s legal. Just make sure you know how the programs work since they’re often only shortcuts to easy problems, giving you more time overall. You wouldn’t want to miss one of the easy problems just because you put it in your calculator incorrectly.
