<p>Which calculator would be the most beneficial to have for an incoming freshman engineering student? I know you can not use calculators in any of the math classes for tests however, they will still need a calculator for other than the tests and for other classes. Would you suggest a Ti-Inspire, TI-89 or something else and why? Thanks!</p>
<p>I just use a TI-89; don’t need anything fancy. </p>
<p>My two boys just used the one that was required in HS for Calculus. Nothing fancy at all.</p>
