Calculator

Not sure if this goes here but couldn't find a better place so

My trusty TI-83 Plus I've used for 5 years was stolen a few weeks ago. As I'm a senior in high school, I'll be graduating in a few months, and since I got a 5 on AP Calc, I'll probably be in a fairly advanced math class in college. Since I need a replacement calculator, I was wondering if TI-83s or 84s are useful in college, or if it'd be more practical to step up to a TI-89 or something else?

I did some research when my younger brother was going to get
a new calculator (he would have inherited my 83+ and I would
have upgraded to a 89); Seemed like almost all the schools
I was interested in attending had a problem with the TI-89 being
used in exams freshman and soph years.

Go with the new 84+ you cannot go wrong. (the 89 though seems so
 ) sigh

(or better still go to the schools you are most likely to attend and check their
calc usage policy for the Math/Physics courses in freshman, Soph. years)
