I took Practice Test 1, but I get no information regarding scoring...how do I score FRQ (especially this, no guidelines at all!!!) and MC (just -.25 per wrong answer, but what is 4/5?)?

And what constitutes a five? a four?

thanks!!!

No idea about the curve (although teacher says getting 75% is probably adequate for a 5), but each FRQ is worth 9 points. CollegeBoard has scoring guidelines for the most recent tests (2004-2006). The type of questions asked for the FRQs are pretty similar, so after going through those scoring guidelines, it's pretty easy to go through and give yourself an approximate score.

What I don't like about PR is that its questions (both MC and FRQ) are nothing like the ones that actually show up on exams (at least, according to the bunch of practice exams I've been given in the past month). For the FRQs, there's always a part of a question that you have to justify with a written explanation, but PR doesn't include that. And slope fields have shown up on recent exams, but they're not included at all in the practice exams in PR. Also, PR puts a ton of emphasis on certain topics while neglecting others.

So whatever score you get on PR, you should take with a grain of salt. While it's nice to have the practice, I don't think it accurately reflects the real test.
