<p>My college treats the AB subgrade as the same as the AB test. If your AB subscore gives more credit than your main BC grade would (which it would in your case...a 3 on BC doesn't get you anything, actually, but a 5 on AB does), then they use that.
However, this is certainly not the case for every college. AP policies vary HUGELY. You'd really need to look it up for your particular college.</p>
