Calculus II?

Hello,

I'm an Architecture student at USC transferring to Mech. Engineering at the semester.

My counselor advised me to take Calc II, but I could in fact go straight to Calc III since I got a 5 on my AP Calc BC test.

However, several friends said that Calc II is very difficult, and that I would be better off just going straight to Calc III. The thing is, it's been 2 years since I finished Calc BC, so I don't know whether it would be better for me to review a bit.

Any input? Thanks in advance, any comments are much appreciated!

Calc II didn't really help me for Calc III. You should review the basics of Calc I before Calc III, as you'll do a lot with graphs.

Agreed. Then review calculus II prior to taking differential equations. If you are a really good student, then you are probably fine going into calculus III.
